IIFA 2010 kicks off in Colombo on Thursday with a low star turnout. The ghost of Sri Lankan politics has come to haunt the venue of this year. It began with protests outside IIFA brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan s house, Tamil groups wanted the venue of the annual awards night to be shifted out of Sri Lanka - mindful of the alleged atrocities committed by the Lankan government on Tamilians.
